A weekly group combining fitness with fellowship takes place in the church on Mondays at 1pm. Feelgood Fitness is a gentle exercise class for people of all ages...but those of more 'mature' years will feel especially at home! It is led by the same qualified instructor who devised and presented fitness sessions for our Holiday at Home events. Each class lasts about 45 minutes and is followed by a chance to chat, enjoy some refreshments...and get your breath back! Sessions cost just £2.50 per person. Any profits will go to the Holiday @ Home fund. Further info from David (374623).
The church was open for prayer at breakfast time (7am – 8.30am) and tea time (4.30pm - 6pm) on Friday 22 January as part of our contribution to the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Bacon butties, toast and cereals were served in the morning; cake & biscuits in the afternoon. The idea was to offer a spiritual ‘pit stop’ for those on their way to or from work…and anyone else who was up and about!
This wasn't any 'holy huddle'... it's hard to look beatific with ketchup or dadies sauce dripping down your chin...but it was somewhere to find some much needed space on the daily commute.
We held a Messy Pancake Party for all the family on Shrove Tuesday! Starting at 6pm there were acey-pacey pancakes and a fab chocolate fountain - the last official choc-stop before Lent!
