Light Party

We held a Family Light party on 31st October from 6pm - 7.30pm. This was our alternative to Hallowe'en....so, no ghosts, witches or ghoulies, but if people wanted to come as a Super Hero...that was fine by us - though in God's eyes, you're already Super anyway!!

Refugee Aid Run

Kidlington Methodist Church has sent tents, sleeping bags, and a mountain of socks to help ease the plight of refugees living in makeshift shelters in and around Calais.

The church has been linking up with CalAid, an organisation operating fortnightly truck runs to the French port to provide essentials for refugees from Syria and elsewhere.

As Worship Leader Ali Bromhall explains: "CalAid tries to fill its trucks with items that are most urgently needed. When we first heard about the scheme there was a desperate need for tents, tarpaulins, groundsheets, sleeping bags ...and socks! At very short notice, the Kidlington congregation came up trumps".
