We were delighted to welcome members of the Punjabi Congregation at Cowley Road Methodist Church to our service on 26th May. We enjoyed music and prayers in Punjabi, and shared in worship and communion. As Rev. Paul Carter explained in his address, it is fine to belong to a particular community and have that sense of community, but we need to be building bridges between communities, not walls, as the apostles realised when they built new Christian communities with non-Jews, slaves, women and other groups. Of course there are barriers and differences, but they are slight and the love of God binds us all together. May God bless all the people of Kidlington and beyond, whatever their background or culture!
